B-SIDE 6th ANNIVERSARY POSTER
I originally drew this wanting to surprise my daughter (Ringo) that I included her to one of my gig poster project. But after I showed her the illustration, she's so upset cause for her it doesn't look like her, for her it looks like a monkey.
So I changed it...to a monkey.

"DON'T BE ANXIOUS" EXHIBIT
A solo exhibit last Dec, 6 2015 at Secretfresh Six inch gallery.
DON'T BE ANXIOUS
The story of this exhibit is one hell of a ride. Like being on a roller coaster for half a year. JP's first thoughts were to create a sequel of his previous show, "Buzztro and Jarvis." He had already made his initial Buzztro and Jarvis materials when his thoughts took him out of that zone and brought him back to his first love: Gig Posters. So he worked on some posters only to drop the theme again when he was already in the middle. He was then led to Pop Art: Why not a Popzilla Part 2? But at that point, he had already wasted too much time to be able to create enough pieces to fill the gallery by the exhibit date.
That's when anxiety hit him. Oh what to do, given the short amount of time? He was then reminded of this passage from Scripture (Philippians 4:6): "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
JP reflected on this verse and prayed. To his surprise, he found that he already had a theme that was overarching the initial three themes he thought of and already began work on - it was actually his journey as an artist: from Pop Art to Buzztro, to Gig Posters. Truly, everything had a reason, and for the Lord, there is no accident.
So expect a show that reflects JP's journey as an artist, the different sides of his passion, but most of all, how the Lord turned JP's anxiety into an art show.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
-Romans 8:28
